When you flip the mag switch it grabs like right now. So after ii did a little research i decided on this one the 1550W and this mag drill is a Beast it will drill through anything as long as you go nice and slow and use lots of cutting oil. I have been wanting a mag drill for years but i just couldn't make myself spend $800 to $1000 dollars for something i wouldn't be using all the time so for about the last 20 years i have just kind of blocked it out of my mind and then i seen these mag drills on Vevor'S website when i was buying a tig walding water cooler for around #200 dollars and i said yep one of those is going to be mine soon.
